A competent jury
A competent jury will assess the nominations and determine the winner within each category. We have previously mentioned that Bernt Olufsen, editor in chief of VG, will head the jury. Other Schibsted members are Mats-Eric Nilsson (acting editor in chief of Svenska Dagbladet) and Diana Kachalova (editor in chief of Moj rajon St. Petersburg). The jury is now complete, and we warmly welcome our two external jury members: Olle Lidbom and Tordis Aavatsmark. They contribute strong professional expertise.
Lidbom (picture) is an Independent Swedish analyst with the media consultancy company M&M. In addition he writes about technology and the media for publications such as Dagens Industri and Expressen Kultur. He runs the website Vassa Eggen (the sharp edge), where he analyses trends and news in the media industry, with an emphasis on the transition of traditional paper-based products to the web, and new media. He is much in
demand as a lecturer and teacher in the Swedish media industry.

Aavatsmark (picture) is acting director for TV, radio and Internet and head of entertainment at NRK, and is best known as the NRK’s queen of entertainment. She has many years of experience in TV production, as a producer and production manager. Aavatsmark is renowned for her nose for a good story, for recruiting new talent and the best hosts, in addition to having good intuition for what makes the big headlines.
The jury will convene in April to pick the winners, who will be announced at the Schibsted Journalism Awards on 30 May.
